Private day trip · Tokyo → Nikko

Nikko private day trip from Tokyo, with a driver who speaks your language.

Golden shrines, cedar forest and a mountain lake, one private day deeper into the hills than any other tour. Your chauffeur collects you early at your Tokyo hotel and the whole of Nikko unfolds at your own pace: the UNESCO shrines under towering cedars, the sacred red Shinkyo bridge, then up the winding Irohazaka road to Lake Chuzenji and the Kegon Falls. Your luggage stays in the car, the route stays flexible, and every viewpoint is yours alone. Around twelve hours, door to door, guided in your language. From ¥216,000, confirmed in writing.

What's included

  • Door-to-door from your Tokyo hotel: your private driver collects you and brings you back; no station, no transfers, no train timetable.
  • A full day, guided in your language: Italian, French, Spanish, English or Japanese, agreed at booking, in writing.
  • Grand shrines and mountain nature: Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji, the Shinkyo bridge, Lake Chuzenji and the Kegon Falls, sequenced to the light and the crowds.
  • Your luggage stays in the car: nothing to carry, nothing to check; the car is your base all day.
  • One agreed price: from ¥216,000 for the Standard class, confirmed before you book. No meter, no tickets to juggle.
  • The right vehicle: from the Toyota Alphard to the Mercedes-Benz S 500, matched to your group and luggage.

Your day in Nikko, at your own pace

Nikko rewards an unhurried, private pace. It sits deeper in the mountains than Hakone or Kamakura, roughly two to two and a half hours from central Tokyo, so the day begins early and returns in the evening. Start beneath the cedars at Toshogu, the lavishly carved mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, where the sleeping cat and the three wise monkeys wait to be found. Cross to Rinnoji temple and pause at the sacred red Shinkyo bridge over the river. Then climb the hairpins of the Irohazaka road to Lake Chuzenji, set high among the peaks, and the thundering drop of the Kegon Falls. In autumn the whole valley turns to fire. Your driver reads the weather and the crowds and reorders the day so the shrines are calm and the mountains are clear. You simply ride, look, and stay as long as you like.
